We cannot over emphasize the importance of chemical peels to promote healthy and clear skin especially on the face. Thankfully, many people are aware of the need to care for their faces and do not mind investing money to ensure that this is possible.
A chemical peel is one that everyone should do whether or not the skin has scars and blemishes or not. This is because it is also a preventative skin procedure.
At Flawless skin by Abby medspa, one of our most frequently done facial procedures is our chemical peel. We offer different chemical peel options including the lactic peel, glycolic peel, body complexion peels and other special peels like the VI Peel, Obagi blue peel and the perfect derma peel among others.
What are chemical peels?
A chemical peel is a skin procedure that helps the skin to regenerate healthy cells on the face and body. The peel works by gently removing the outer dead layers of the skin which usually contains blemishes and pigmentations.
How it is done
The skin is prepped for some minutes and a solution is applied which removes the top blemished layer of the skin. After some minutes, the solution is removed.
The skin starts to peel at least a day after the chemical peel procedure. During the peel, the dead and blemished top skin layers will shed, revealing new layers underneath.
What to expect
Depending on the intensity of the chemical peel, you should expect skin shedding within the next few days after the procedure. After shedding the skin, be ready to flaunt your new glowing skin to the world.
