Suitable for – Hyperpigmentation/Scars/Stretchmarks
Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy is a process that involves using a special device with needles to puncture hundreds of tiny holes in the skin. This method of subtly causing minor injuries to the skin, helps to induce regeneration of skin cells via wound healing process.
How exactly does it work?
The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin; the part of the skin that we can all see. The microneedling procedure uses microneedles to promote epidermal growth and increase cell turn over by inducing injuries to the skin.
The procedure helps to increase the delivery of the right ingredients to the skin cell layers. It also aids better distribution of the melanin pigment.
Who can have the procedure done?
Microneedling is done on people with the following:
- Sun damage
- Stretch marks
- Premature aged skin.
It is also the method used in our PRP Vampire Facial.
Is it Painful?
Before the microneedling begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin. This causes one to not feel any pain during the process.
Duration of Procedure – 45 minutes
